Marketocracy co-founder and CEO Ken Kam brings his visionary ideas and extensive industry experience as one of the country’s top mutual fund managers to the firm. Renowned for his medical and biotech industry knowledge and “firsthand experience” stock-picking philosophy, Ken currently serves as portfolio manager for the Masters 100 Fund.

Prior to founding Marketocracy, Ken co-founded Firsthand Funds, a mutual fund family that had over $1 billion under management when he departed in September 1999. He also has a history in the medical industry, founding Novoste Puerto Rico, Inc., a medical device manufacturer.

Ken, his wife and daughter live in Northern California with their golden retriever.

David Diesslin is the president of Diesslin & Associates, Inc., a Fee-Only Financial Advisory firm, which he founded and registered with the SEC in 1980.  Diesslin & Associates, Inc. specializes in Wealth Management, Comprehensive Financial Planning and Asset Management for Individuals, Professionals, Executives, and Closely Held Businesses and Corporations.

Clint Chao, a partner of Formative Ventures, is a seasoned high-technology executive with 18 years of operating experience. Clint has a proven sales, marketing, business development, operating, and fund-raising track record that span both the public and private business sectors. Prior to co-founding Formative Ventures, Clint served as vice president of marketing and business development for SkyStream Networks. Clint earned a BS in electrical engineering and computer science from University of California at Berkeley.

Norman Dann, retired co-founder Pathfinder Venture Capital Funds; VP Sales & Marketing, Sr. VP Development Medtronic Inc.; Founder of the Dann Co. a distributor of medical products. Currently serving on boards and consulting primarily to medical companies and University non-profits.

Ken Favaro is chief executive of Marakon Associates, an international strategy consulting firm that advises CEOs and their top management teams on how to build leadership in managing for value. Many of its clients rank among the world’s largest and best performing companies. Prior to joining Marakon in 1984, he earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Stanford University (Phi Beta Kappa) and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.
