| Description: |
| Gold Fund - Blend
This fund invests in gold shares of the major producers and also more speculative junior producers. The fund was opened in November 2000, when the XAU gold index was near all time lows, in the belief that after a two decade long bear market in gold and gold stocks there existed significant value in the sector. Also, the demise of the technology bubble could cause speculative capital flows into the gold sector.
The fund selects stocks based upon the book value, balance sheet of the company, relative strength, favorable mine developments, and technical criteria.
