HOW THE MANAGER INVESTS
WHAT IS YOUR INVESTING STRATEGY? (GROWTH, VALUE, TECHNICAL ANALYSIS, ETC.)
answer --> My strategy is to find uncommon value in area's that are not currently considered ideal investment areas. I am a Contrarian’s investor. I look for value where others are fleeing a sector, or I try to find the growth where the market is not expecting it. I personally try to take a view of 6 months forward from where the market is today and then invest based on expected results then. In September of 2002, I was buying IPP stocks as they tanked. The average stock in the sector us up 500% or so today. Currently I am buying small cap growth stocks with high beta and high internal organic growth with little or no debt. It is hard to believe, but currently there are quit a few of these little gems available… I have no idea what I will be investing in next spring when I am selling these, as the market is not foreshadowing it self very well currently. If the Mutual Fund issues causes a crash in those stock, I will be there buying them up.
HOW DO YOU SELECT NEW COMPANIES FOR YOUR FUNDS?
answer --> I am always looking for stocks that have already dropped significantly due to bad news or possible BK fears. I am an extreme value investor, who tries to follow the advice of Sir John Templeton, when the blood is in the street and no one wants to own the stock, I am a buyer.
HOW DO YOU DECIDE TO REMOVE A STOCK FROM YOUR FUNDS?
answer --> I will either decide to remove a stock due to long term stagnation in its outlook and stock price. I usually try to take some profits from stocks that have increased over 100% in a short time period. It depends on each fund and how I am managing that specific fund. I have some funds that I buy more shares in the under performing stocks, I also have a fund that I will remove the worse performing stocks and replace them with new stocks.
