| HOW
THE MANAGER INVESTS |
| WHAT
IS YOUR INVESTING STRATEGY? (GROWTH, VALUE, TECHNICAL ANALYSIS, ETC.) |
|
answer --> |
I seek out small cap companies either through a value or a growth screening process to identify the strongest relative values within their respective industry groups.
|
| HOW
DO YOU SELECT NEW COMPANIES FOR YOUR FUNDS? |
|
answer --> |
I am particularly interested in companies trading at attractive Enterprise Value/Revenue multiples, solid revenue base with the chance to grow revenues, and solid cash positions on the balance sheet. Price to Sales and Price to Book are also important metrics, as are operating margins. Ideally I like to try to find companies that have solid products with recurring revenue streams, a backlog of revenues, and in some cases deferred revenues. Also like to invest in companies that have recently restructured or have undergone changes in their product focus that will lead to tangible leverage opportunities in their business model. I regularly screen for attractive investment prospects and actively meet with company managements to learn more about companies that I am interested in. I meet with 100+ management teams per year.
|
| HOW
DO YOU DECIDE TO REMOVE A STOCK FROM YOUR FUNDS? |
|
answer --> |
Foremost, if a company does not live up to expectations or goals, especially as it pertains to what the company management has been guiding to, I will exit the position. Secondly, I will sell a position if it meets my target price or starts to trade in line with it's industry peers on a valuation basis....i.e. it's been 'discovered' by the rest of the investment community. Ideally I like to try and find companies that I can invest in and hold for a long time(more than 1 year).
