FWIW, I created this little web app mainly for personal use, but I thought You might be interested. It is a web app which lists all sectors and stocks which belong to them.
you can see and use it at: http://www.wsbears.com/charts.html

Why does Marketocracy list Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) in the Health Care Sector?
I thought it would be in the Energy Sector.
Yahoo FINANCE classifies it as Basic Material.
Was that a blip with the program?
The Material Sector sounds more appropriate to me because chemical companies are designated as such.
Materials or Energy, yes, but, Health Care????? |

Thank you for correcting the Sector assignment to PEIX.
It is now designated as Materials. |

This is one of the most confusing companies I've seen (more like, not seen):
Universal Food and Beverage (UFBV)/Sun Power Corporation (SNPW) is currently assigned a Utilities sector designation. This may have been valid 2 or 3 years ago but its utility/energy business seem to have disappeared into thin air!
This company has one the craziest and longest list of items on the Corporate Actions page. This company is schizophrenic! Or, maybe I'm just confused.
I bought this stock back in June 27, 2002 as SUN POWER CORPORATION and now it's solely in the food and beverage business? That's insane!
When y'all get a chance please help me with this one...I'm almost out of StressTabs and I ain't working out today - It's my Independence Day, too! |

That website doesn't come up. Is it obsolete?
What sectors are next to rally in 2007?
My humble opinion is;
consumer discretionaries (specialties), some industrials and materials (gold). |

I'm somewhat sectors oriented here. I'll be posting short comments on my Blog. Have a look if you will! Blog |
